Dr. Youhua Jiang is currently an Assistant Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department in Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), Shantou, China.
Dr. Jiang's background lies at the interface between Surface Engineering and Interfacial Phenomena, and Dr. Jiang has particular interest in any phenomena where the effects of interfacial tensions dominate.
Specifically, Dr. Jiang is studying the effects of solid surfaces on phenomena relating to (1) fluid dynamics, (2) phase-change heat transfer, and (3) physical chemistry, including:
(1) Impact, rebound, slide, coalescence, and jump of droplets/bubbles (and particle-laden droplets),
(2) Evaporation, condensation, freezing, melting, and boiling,
(3) Wetting/Dewetting, crystallization, droplet manipulation, and self-assembly of nano/micro-materials,
on solid surfaces with variations in properties (e.g., wettability, stimuli-responsiveness, and geometric shape).
The specialty of Dr. Jiang's research is Smart and Soft Interfacial Phenomena (智柔界面现象).
