Youhua Jiang



Dr. Youhua Jiang is currently an Assistant Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department in Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), Shantou, China.

Dr. Jiang's background lies at the interface between surface engineering and thermofluids (Interfacial Phenomena), and Dr. Jiang has particular interest in any phenomena where the effects of interfacial tensions dominate.

Dr. Jiang has extensive experience in investigating the effects of solid surfaces on phenomena relating to (1) fluid dynamics, (2) phase-change heat transfer, and (3) physical chemistry, including:

(1) Impact, rebound, slide, coalescence, and jump of droplets/bubbles (and particle-laden droplets) with various fluidic properties at microscopic (aerosols) and millimetric scales,

(2) Evaporation, condensation, freezing, melting, and boiling,

(3) Wetting/Dewetting, crystallization, droplet manipulation, and self-assembly of nano/micro-materials,

on surfaces with various properties, especially the variance in wettability induced by micro-/nanostructures.

Dr. Jiang's career goal is to address practical problems related with water, energy, and the environment using fundamental knowledge of Interfacial Phenomena.
